Special Puja, Yajna and Arati 
in Honour of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati, 
at Omkarananda Ganga Ghat, Muni-ki-reti,
on 31st December 2011

On 31st December 2011, a very beautiful Altar with a Photo of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and pictures of Maa Durga and Lord Shiva, was installed by the Priests of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, directly at the holy river Ganges, on the Omkarananda Ganga Ghat, in Muni-ki-reti.

Beautifully decorated Altar with Gurudev, Lord Shiva and Maa Durga - behind is Maa Ganga.

Special Pujas and Yajna were performed in Honour of Gurudev, and in between a group of musicians, along with the Priests of Omkarananda Ashram, sang nice Bhajans. Kumari Somashekhari sang Bhajans, one dedicated to the greatness of Gurudev Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati and a Meera Bhajan, in Raga Bhimpalasi.

  Kumari Somashekhari is singing a beautiful Bhajan.

The deeply spiritual event, directly at the holy river Ganga, was concluded with Arati for Gurudev and Ganga, performed by Swami Vishveshwarananda, Sudhakar Sharma and others.

Then everybody offered beautiful flower-boats with shining Deepas to Maa Ganga, which were floating and dancing on the waves of this wonderful, holy river.

Yajna in front of the holy River Ganga by Kumari Somashekhari along with the Priests of Omkarananda-Kamakshi-Devi Temple, Suresh and Sanjay.

Deepas are offered to the timeless Divine Mother Ganga
for the Glory of Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati.
